Borrowing Privileges
Library resources are selected to support the educational, scientific, and clinical missions of the campus. Use of Library resources is restricted to activities related to these missions.
Affiliated Clients
The Library serves the faculty, staff, and students of UT Southwestern and its affiliated hospitals i.e. Parkland Health & Hospital System, University Hospital - Zale Lipshy, and University Hospital - St. Paul, Children's Medical Center, and UT Southwestern Austin Programs.
Apply for a Library card by completing the Library Card Application form. Please allow at least 24 hours to process your application.
Non-affiliated Clients
The general public may access the collection and other resources within the Library to conduct research regarding their healthcare.
Members of the health care and educational community may apply for a Library card at the South Campus Library Information Desk during the staffed hours. Please bring a valid photo ID (passport or driver’s license) and a secondary document as shown below:

| Patrons of public libraries (must be at least 18 years of age) | A TexShare card obtained from the participating library (does not include Interlibrary Loan or intermediated database searching) |
| Other local librarians | A staff ID or business card |
