Donations: Books, Journals, UT Southwestern History Materials
The UT Southwestern Library is grateful to individuals and departments who have donated materials to our collections over the years.
Book & Journals
The Library’s collection development philosophy now focuses solely on the provision of digital access to information. As a result, the Library no longer accepts general book and/or journal donations.
If unsolicited materials are mailed, dropped off, or otherwise delivered to the Library, the Library reserves the right to dispose of said materials in any manner it deems appropriate. Potential donors may either review a list of organizations that continue to accept print donations or use the Better World Books drop box (for book donations only) located in the solar panel parking lot next to the Paul M. Bass Administrative and Clinical Center (6303 Forest Park Road, Dallas, Texas).
UT Southwestern History Materials
The UT Southwestern Archives within the Library welcomes donations of materials related to the history of UT Southwestern. Examples of such materials include:
- UT Southwestern-produced documents that pertain to the campus' overall functions, operations, and goals and objectives
- Photographs of UT Southwestern faculty, staff, or students or of the campus or affiliated hospitals
- Papers of or pertaining to individuals or groups who have made notable contributions to UT Southwestern
- Newspaper or magazine clippings pertaining to UT Southwestern and its faculty, staff, students, or campus
