Texas Medical Board
The state agency responsible for the licensure and discipline of Texas physicians (M.D.'s and D.O.'s). The Board's mission is to protect the public's health, safety, and welfare by regulating the practice of medicine and ensuring quality health care for the citizens of Texas. Also serves as staff for the Texas State Board of Acupuncture Examiners and the Texas Physician Assistant Board. In addition to information about licensing, this site also offers demographics of physicians, continuing medical education requirements, and the entire Medical Practice Act. There is also information for physicians who use physician assistants.
