About BrainMap
UT Southwestern Medical Center Library

  BrainMap
Subjects:  Neurology

Developed at UT Health Science Center in San Antonio, BrainMap is a software environment for meta-analysis of the human functional brain-mapping literature. Its purpose is to promote the user's ability to understand and meta-analyze the functional anatomy of the human brain through rapid, exhaustive access to image-derived research on human functional neuroanatomy. BrainMap relates brain locations to human behavioral functions and data sources. For any brain region, the behavioral conditions associated with that region can be returned. Conversely, for any behavioral function, the brain regions supporting that behavior can be retrieved. BrainMap consists of three components: BrainMap's Database, BrainMap Entry, and BrainMap Search and View.
