The first book of a new English translation of Andreas Vesalius' 16th century masterpiece On the Fabric of the Human Body is now available online, complete with footnotes and high resolution images. The translation of the first book of De Humani Corporis Fabrica represents 10 years of work by Daniel Garrison, professor of classics in Northwestern University's Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences, and Malcolm Hast, professor emeritus of otolaryngology in Northwestern's Feinberg School of Medicine.
