KIR Gene Cluster, 2003- (NCBI) [Electronic Book]
Subjects:  Immunology

Killer cell immunoglobulin-like receptors (KIRs) are members of a group of regulatory molecules found on subsets of lymphoid cells. KIR may play a significant role in control of the immune response; associations have been observed between certain KIR genes in rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, and control of HIV disease progression. Available from NCBI Bookshelf.
