Subjects:  Help with Library  |  Tutorials/Online Courses

OvidSP’s Basic Search is a new tool featuring "natural language processing (NLP)," which was designed to take a complex search query; process it without relying on syntax rules, search conventions, or complicated and redundant search strategies; and then return the most relevant results possible. Generally speaking, three types of queries work best with Basic Search: a concise expression of a concept, a question or phrase stated in plain English, or a variation of one or both of the other types.
