National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES)
A population-based survey run by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that collects information on the health and nutrition of the U.S. household population. Includes two parts: the home interview and the health examination. This very large data set has been collected in selected years from 1959 to 1994, and then continuously since 1999. The site offers access to the data sets, summary reports for all available years, information about the collection of data, and tutorials on accessing and analyzing the data.
