National Health Interview Survey
The principal source of information on the health of the civilian non-institutionalized population of the United States and one of the major data collection programs of the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) which is part of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). This survey has been conducted continuously since 1957, providing a rich source of longitudinal data ready for analysis. The site offers access to the data sets, documentation, summary reports since 1963, and alerts to newly-released reports.
