Texas Infectious Disease Control Unit
Assists local or regional public health officials in investigating outbreaks of acute infectious diseases or any report of isolated cases of rare or unusual disease, such as plague, cholera, or botulism. Conducts routine and special morbidity surveillance of diseases designated by the Board of Health. Includes data on reportable communicable diseases, including MRSA, E. coli, West Nile, and rabies, as well as regular updates on influenza activity at the county level.
